Offers impeccable customer service to tanning customers either visiting or calling into Tropical Isle Tanning Salons.
Sells Tanning Services, related lotions & merchandise. Deals with credit card, check and cash sales.
Performs regular sanitation or cleanup duties after tanning sessions are completed, as well as periodic tanning room, workstation and general store cleanup duties. Duties include but are not limited to laundering and folding of towels, dusting, and bathroom clean up detail.
Assists with and attends promotional events.
Conducts routine inventories and reports of retail sales items and assists with periodic audits.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Attends or completes on-line, regular sales or product training, store and company meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Demonstrates ability to be a good communicator, and provides high-level customer service support.
Excellent verbal communication skills, including organization, detail and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate retail sales/customer service skills, including prioritizing tasks with multiple and often competing deadlines, and ability to work under pressure.
Proven ability to deliver high-tech customer service and work with customer relations management (CRM) database systems and Point of Sale s systems (e.g., keep contact logs, conversation notes, implement follow-up flags, deal with inventory).
Ability to work independently; to work under supervision, and to work in a team-based and goal oriented environment.
Skilled with the PC and Microsoft Office, Specifically Word and Excel.
Skill in operating various office equipment, such as personal computer, calculator, copy machine, facsimile machine, and telephone system.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to communicate with employees, vendors and other contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to maintain schedules.
Ability to present oral and written reports.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to use considerable judgment and initiative required to establish work procedures.
Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Ability to work comfortably with diverse populations, with sensitivity to issues concerning Indoor Tanning services.
Ability to perform routine bending/stooping while cleaning and filing.
Ability to perform routine twisting/reaching while working the computer desk.
Ability to perform routine walking/standing during course of day.
Ability to hear and speak well enough to converse over telephone 100% of the time.
Ability to see well enough to use computer efficiently and read computer reports and correspondence 100% of the time.
Ability to work evening and weekend hours as necessary.
Ability to be flexible in scheduling work hours.
Ability to actively participate in the operational tasks of running a Full-Service Tanning Salon Operation.
Education & Experience
High School graduate degree preferred with a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible customer service. Proven success in customer relationship management. Previous experience in Tanning Services Retail Sales a plus.
